Meet our team

Partners in your health and wellbeing

At Forbes Medicine and Mind, collaboration and tailored support are at the heart of everything we do.

Our team is built on a foundation of mutual respect, shared knowledge, and a unified goal: providing exceptional care to our community. We foster a culture where everyone—from GPs and nurses to our dedicated support staff—feels valued and empowered to contribute their best.

Each team member plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both patients and colleagues.

From day one when I walked through their doors, I felt at home in my new environment and warmly welcomed, appreciated and encouraged to be part of a family and team that care for our community in all aspects of health in General Practice.

Maree Hodges, Registered Nurse

  • Dr Richard Draper

    Practice Principal and GP Supervisor

Born and raised in Parkes, NSW, Dr. Richard Draper always had a passion for rural medicine. As the eldest of four siblings, his early experiences in a tight-knit community shaped his commitment to providing exceptional healthcare in regional areas.

In 2023, Richard was honoured as the RACGP GP of the Year, recognising his outstanding contributions to rural medicine. Richard is a firm believer in the power of multi-disciplinary teamwork to achieve the best outcomes for patients and is a passionate advocate for general practice in rural areas—a career path he feels has deeply enriched his life and practice.

Outside the clinic, Richard’s love for adrenaline keeps him busy. His involvement in trackside medical work since 2010—including events like V8 Supercars and international motorcycle races—perfectly blends his medical expertise with his lifelong passion for motorsport.

Our support staff

  • Rebecca Watchorn

  • Kiira Richards

    Receptionist

Kiira first joined the team at Forbes Medicine and Mind in 2021 before heading to Sydney to experience the city life. She loves working in a tight-knit community and describes being part of the Medicine and Mind team as “feeling like coming home.” Outside work, Kiira enjoys traveling, gaming, attending concerts, and is currently learning Spanish.

Working at Medicine and Mind is a privilege. Being part of a supportive, compassionate and driven team has allowed me to thrive and their dedication to providing the best possible care for patients is second to none.
